Company Description Him Village Eprahari supports the Zero-Waste Initiative in Ganga Bhogpur village, located between Haridwar and Rishikesh, where both residential and tourist activities generate significant waste. The initiative focuses on reducing open garbage dumping and its impact on the environment and community health. The project promotes sustainable practices including waste segregation, recycling, composting, and responsible disposal. Role Description The Poster Designer Opportunity is a full-time remote role focused on creating visual communication materials that support the Zero-Waste Initiative. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing posters and related graphics that explain waste segregation, recycling, composting, and responsible disposal in clear, engaging ways. The designer will work closely with project coordinators to translate environmental messages into accessible visual content for local residents and tourists. Tasks include developing concepts, preparing digital artwork, refining designs based on feedback, and adapting materials for different formats and languages as needed. The role also involves maintaining visual consistency with the project’s branding and ensuring that all materials are culturally sensitive and easy to understand.
Qualifications
Strong skills in graphic design and layout using common design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or equivalent).
Experience creating posters, infographics, and other visual materials for awareness campaigns or educational projects.
Ability to simplify complex information into clear, concise visuals and text suitable for diverse audiences.
Understanding of basic principles of visual hierarchy, typography, color, and composition.
Interest in environmental issues, sustainability, or community development initiatives.
Effective remote collaboration skills, including responsiveness, time management, and comfort with online communication tools.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages used in the region is an advantage.
Relevant education or training in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
