Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Social Media Manager at Gurukkul. The Social Media Manager will plan, create, and publish content across social media platforms to showcase Gurukkul’s initiatives, student stories, and partnerships. Daily responsibilities include managing social media calendars, optimizing posts for engagement and reach, monitoring performance analytics, and refining strategies based on data. The role involves collaborating with program, marketing, and partnerships teams to align messaging, maintain brand voice, and support campaigns related to startup education, incubation labs, and fellowships. The Social Media Manager will also engage with online communities, respond to queries, and identify opportunities for organic growth and collaboration.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) to grow and manage digital communities.
Candidates should possess strong Communication and Writing skills to craft clear, engaging, and consistent messaging.
Candidates should possess skills in Content Strategy to plan and execute platform-specific campaigns and content calendars.
Experience with social media analytics tools, basic design or multimedia tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark, video editing), and trend monitoring is beneficial.
Familiarity with education, entrepreneurship, or youth-focused initiatives, and an interest in NEP 2020 or SDG-driven work is an advantage.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple platforms, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
