Job Title: Housekeeper (Full-Time)
Location: Charlotte Hall Facility 30007 Business Center Drive Charlotte Hall, MD
PAY RANGE: • $15.00–$17.00 per hour
JOB SUMMARY: Walden is a local, community-based, CARF-accredited organization with five service campuses in Maryland. Walden provides high-quality, compassionate behavioral healthcare, including substance use disorder treatment, co-occurring trauma-informed mental health services, crisis intervention, and recovery support services.
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility. This position performs routine cleaning and sanitation of public areas, offices, client rooms, restrooms, hallways, and other designated spaces.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Clean public and staff restrooms and public areas, including the front office, conference room, front halls, steps, and hallways, on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as needed. • Clean all rooms and bathrooms daily, including the hall, nurses’ station, and exam room. • Clean personal offices weekly. • Empty trash daily from all areas of the facility. • Clean laundry rooms and dryer filters every two weeks. • Refill paper towel, soap, and toilet paper dispensers as needed. • Clean baseboards, radiators, and windows seasonally. • Wet mop all floors. • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly physical environment. • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • Prior housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred. • Ability to follow cleaning procedures and maintain attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner. • Experience working in a healthcare or behavioral health setting is a plus.
EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION: Due to the nature of behavioral healthcare work and our commitment to ensuring client safety, candidates selected for hire must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances. Employment is contingent upon meeting all screening requirements in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting-body regulations.
