Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Odisha, India. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing construction activities, including site inspection, measurement, and quality control. The role involves preparing and reviewing drawings, estimates, and technical reports, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, and ensuring work is carried out as per design specifications, safety standards, and local regulations. The Civil Engineer will monitor project progress, maintain daily site records, and assist in resolving technical issues during construction. The position also includes supporting project scheduling, cost control, and resource allocation to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, structural design basics, and construction methods.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
Proficiency in relevant civil engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, basic MS Office, spreadsheets).
Understanding of construction safety practices, quality standards, and local building codes.
Good skills in site supervision, material management, and coordination with contractors and vendors.
Effective communication and documentation skills, including report writing and record-keeping.
Strong problem-solving attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work independently at project sites.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
Prior experience in construction of Bridge, Canal, Road, or infrastructure projects in India is an advantage.
Willingness to work on-site in Odisha and adapt to project-based schedules and field conditions.
