Oracle EBS Project Manager

Position: Oracle EBS Project manager/Coordinator
Location Remote, with travel to Farmingdale for test events, cutover and go-live

Role Summary:
Our client's Integrated Electronics program runs eight functional tracks through repeated Conference Room Pilot cycles toward a go-live. The tracks are delivering. What has no single owner is the work that sits between them: keeping one plan current, tying open items to dates, tracking interface readiness, preparing the governance gates and publishing one honest status every week.
This role takes that work. It is a coordination role with no authority over delivery. The people doing functional and technical work keep doing it exactly as they do now, and every decision they make today stays with them.
Reports to Senior Information Technology Director, Business Systems
Works alongside Business lead, business analyst directors, development lead, database lead and the eight track leads
Responsibilities
The integrated plan: Maintains one schedule with dependencies, durations and named owners. Republishes weekly with float against the go-live date.
Open item tracking: Keeps a fix version and a due date on every open JIRA item. Chases unassigned items to an owner.
Integrations register: Maintains one readiness status per interface, updated weekly, covering the Oracle and non-Oracle applications.
Weekly status: One page every week: milestone dates, float, top risks, decisions needed and exceptions carried.
Steering committee support: Prepares the agenda, the decision list and the pre-read. Records outcomes.
Decision log: Tracks every open decision with a requester, a decider and a required by date. Escalates at ten working days.
Go or no-go gates: Assembles the evidence against written criteria for both checkpoints.
Cutover runbook: Owns the document and coordinates the rehearsal.
Defect burn-down: Publishes the trend and coordinates daily triage during test events.
Risk register: Keeps it current and escalates anything scoring above the agreed threshold.
Out of Scope: Stated explicitly so the role can be introduced without disrupting a team that is already delivering.
Functional decisions: Track leads and subject matter experts
Design, build and configuration: Development lead and the database team
Test content and scripts: Track leads and the test owner
Approving scope changes: Steering committee. The coordinator prepares the assessment.
Line management: Nobody reports to this role
Vendor relationships: Existing owners
By Deliverable:
Day 5: One view of everything open, drawn from JIRA and the event report outs, with an owner and a target date against each item.
Day 20: The plan walked with every track lead, with durations, dependencies and owners agreed track by track.
Day 30: Plan baselined. First weekly status published. Decision log running.
Day 45: Integrations readiness register live, with a named owner and target date per interface.
Day 60: Cutover runbook drafted, including interface restart steps and rollback points.
Day 90: Both go or no-go gates prepared against written criteria.
Required Experience:
Five or more years coordinating or managing enterprise resource planning implementations.
Hands-on Oracle E-Business Suite experience. Release 12 preferred.
Has built and maintained a dependency-linked schedule in Microsoft Project, including critical path and float.
Has worked inside a Conference Room Pilot delivery model across multiple cycles.
Working level JIRA skills: versions, filters, dashboards and bulk edits.
Cutover planning and go-live coordination on at least one production implementation.
Clear written status reporting to an executive audience.
Preferred Experience:
Multi-site or multi-plant rollout experience.
Manufacturing background, ideally aerospace and defines.
Data conversion cycle experience, including completeness and accuracy reporting.
Exposure to a manufacturing execution system integration.
Familiarity with Oracle Projects, Project Contracts and Project Manufacturing.
