About Ascellus
Ascellus is a specialized behavioral health company built for the workers' compensation market. Through our telehealth-delivered provider network spanning 36+ states, we help injured workers address the psychosocial barriers that stand between them and recovery, and we help payers achieve better outcomes and lower claim costs.
The Role
We're looking for an Account Manager to own and grow a book of existing client relationships. This is a retention and expansion role: you'll be the go-to partner for your clients, helping them get more value from Ascellus programs while identifying new ways we can support their claims teams. You'll report to a Senior Account Manager and work closely with our Customer Activation, Growth, Clinical, and Operations teams.
What You'll Do
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for a designated book of client accounts
Drive utilization and revenue growth through new initiatives and deeper program engagement
Help build and execute account plans that connect client goals with Ascellus's objectives
Lead or support monthly and quarterly business reviews that show clients the value and results of their programs
Monitor utilization trends and flag retention risks early
Partner with Clinical, Operations, and Customer Success to resolve issues and keep service delivery on track
Spot cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within your accounts
Support contract renewals and amendments
Occasionally join prospect conversations to support new business
Keep account activity, trends, and client feedback documented in our CRM
What You Bring
2+ years of experience in workers' compensation or healthcare (preferred)
A solid understanding of the workers' comp landscape: its customers, history, and competitive environment
Familiarity with the sales process and a consultative, relationship-first approach
The ability to build rapport quickly with both clients and internal teams
Comfort analyzing customer data to uncover trends and opportunities
Strong written and verbal communication skills, adapted to the audience
Excellent organization and follow-through, especially on cross-functional projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and CRM platforms
Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field (preferred)
Details
Fully remote, with 5 to 10% travel
Full-time, exempt
If you're energized by building lasting client partnerships and want to make a real difference in how injured workers recover, we'd love to hear from you.
