Full Stack Software Engineer

Remarcable is the intelligent procurement and material operations platform transforming how trade contractors (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and suppliers work together. Processing over $1B in monthly purchase volume, our platform unifies procurement, inventory, prefabrication, tool management, and delivery. We connect live field operations, back offices, and suppliers through real time data sync, visual catalogs, side by side distributor pricing, AI discrepancy detection, and 180+ supplier and ERP integrations.
We are growing our engineering team and hiring across multiple Full Stack Software Engineer roles at both Intermediate and Senior levels. We are looking for resourceful, curious engineers to build high-impact software in a fast-growing SaaS startup. In these roles, you will not get lost in the shuffle. You will own features end to end, collaborate directly with customers, and shape product strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Feature Engineering: Build and launch end-to-end features across Python/Django backends, Angular frontends, and SQL schemas.
- Bug Hunting & Performance: Diagnose and resolve complex edge cases, race conditions, and performance bottlenecks across the stack.
- Production Reliability: Troubleshoot high-priority customer issues and runtime exceptions in live production environments.
- Code Reviews: Conduct rigorous peer code reviews to enforce quality, security, and architectural standards.
- System Integrations: Build and maintain resilient REST APIs, webhooks, email parsers, and OCR extraction pipelines.
- Technical Ownership: Document key architecture, data models, and workflows to ensure team maintainability.
- Accelerated Growth: Leverage modern AI tools (Cursor, Copilot) to speed up execution, automate testing, and master new technologies.
WHO YOU ARE
- 4-6+ years of professional software engineering experience in a production SaaS or fast-paced startup environment.
- 4-6+ years of hands-on experience building backend services with Python and Django (or similar frameworks like FastAPI/Flask), including designing RESTful APIs, writing asynchronous background jobs and structuring modular backend architecture.
- 4+ years of experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), including writing and optimizing complex JOIN queries, designing normalized database schemas, creating indexes, and debugging slow ORM queries.
- 2+ years of production experience with modern frontend frameworks (specifically Angular, React, or Vue), including state management, component architecture, and integration with backend APIs.
- Based in Vancouver (or willing to relocate) for hybrid on-site standups and
- A problem-solver with a customer-first mindset.
- Someone who takes ownership of their work and thrives in a collaborative startup team.
NICE TO HAVE
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining automated integration pipelines, specifically handling third-party REST/GraphQL APIs, webhook ingestion, email processing tools, or document/OCR data extraction workflows.
- Practical experience with Docker, containerized environments, and basic cloud infrastructure management using Terraform and Cloud to support automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) to accelerate code generation, write unit tests, and debug complex stack traces.
