Position Summary
The Director, Organizational Effectiveness & Transformation is Solera’s internal engine for making the organization perform better. You will build the systems, programs, and capabilities that allow the company to grow, change, and compete for talent. This role works across two connected lanes: enterprise people programs and strategic transformation projects. You bring a builder’s mindset and a project manager’s discipline, and you are comfortable working across the organization and with outside partners. Success looks like stronger leader and frontline retention, faster time to competency, and an organization that absorbs change, including AI, without losing focus on the resident experience.
This role leads the Program Manager, Learning & Development.
What You’ll Do
Enterprise People Programs
Partner with People and Operations leadership to design, build, and maintain talent development programs that support HR business partners, community leaders, and frontline team members, including:
Talent framework: competency models, job architecture, and the review and calibration processes built on them, including frontline career ladders (for example, caregiver → med tech → wellness leadership)
Enterprise onboarding: set the design and standards for a consistent, high-quality experience from offer through the first 90 days across all communities and corporate functions
Lead the Program Manager, Learning & Development; set the learning agenda and drive execution, including state-required and compliance training in partnership with Clinical and Operations leadership
Transformation & Strategic Projects
Lead change management for enterprise-wide initiatives, preparing the organization for shifts in workflows, processes, and ways of working, including those driven by new AI tools
Partner with the Director of AI-Enabled Operations to build Solera’s AI readiness practice. That role owns what changes in the workflow; you own preparing people for the change: workforce impact, skills, communication, and reinforcement
Build talent pipelines so we have the workforce to keep creating exceptional lifestyle experiences for our residents, including:
School and university partnerships that strengthen our early-career talent pipeline
State-level workforce training programs and funding opportunities
Lead or support other strategic people projects for the Chief People Officer, typically 2–3 at a time, ranging from 90-day sprints to multi-year programs
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Organizational Development, HR, Business, or a related field preferred
7+ years of progressive experience in organizational effectiveness, organizational development (OD), HR transformation, or a related field
A proven track record of designing and scaling enterprise people programs, not just advising on them
Strong project management skills; comfortable running multiple workstreams with competing timelines
Comfort with data and analytics: you can build a model, read an analysis, and present findings to senior leaders
Experience leading change with frontline, hourly, and multi-site workforces
Senior living, healthcare, or multi-site operations experience preferred but not required
External-facing experience a plus: government, workforce development, higher education, or policy environments
Ability to travel up to 25% to communities, partner schools, and state and industry meetings
