Role Description The EV Technician role at NANDHI MOTORS is a full-time, on-site position based in Tamil Nadu, India. The EV Technician will perform routine inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicles, including batteries, motors, controllers, wiring, and charging systems. Day-to-day tasks include using diagnostic tools, interpreting fault codes, performing test drives, and documenting service work in a clear and accurate manner. The role involves following safety procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workshop, coordinating with service advisors and other technicians, and explaining technical findings to non-technical team members when needed. The EV Technician will also support continuous improvement by reporting recurring issues, suggesting process enhancements, and staying updated on new EV technologies and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong technical skills in EV diagnostics, battery systems, electrical wiring, and motor controllers.
Candidates should possess practical skills in mechanical repair, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and use of workshop tools.
Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
Candidates should possess skills in workplace safety, safe handling of high-voltage components, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills to document service work, report issues clearly, and coordinate with team members.
Relevant diploma or certification in Automobile Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or EV Technology is preferred.
Prior experience in automotive or EV service centers is an advantage, especially with electric two-wheelers or four-wheelers.
Ability to work on-site in Tamil Nadu, India, with a customer-focused attitude and willingness to learn new EV technologies.
