Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Bengaluru. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), supporting project cost planning from concept through completion, and monitoring costs against budgets. Day-to-day tasks include tracking expenses, preparing cost reports, assisting with tenders and estimates, and coordinating with design and project teams to ensure financial feasibility of projects. The role also involves verifying contractor bills, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to value engineering and cost optimization efforts while meeting project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in BOQ preparation and measurement, with the ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
Proficiency in cost planning and cost management, including budgeting, estimating, and lifecycle cost analysis.
Solid experience in cost control and cost reporting, with skills in tracking variations and preparing periodic financial updates.
Relevant academic background in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Familiarity with construction contracts, tender processes, and industry standards.
Ability to work effectively with design, engineering, and site teams, and to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
Strong analytical, numerical, and Excel or cost-software skills; attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Prior experience in architectural or design-led projects in an urban context such as Bengaluru will be an advantage.
