Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Solar Engineering Manager role based in Coimbatore. The Solar Engineering Manager will oversee the design, development, and implementation of solar power projects, ensuring technical quality, safety, and compliance with relevant standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing engineering teams, coordinating project timelines and resources, reviewing system designs and integration plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as procurement, construction, and operations. The role also involves optimizing performance of solar installations, preparing technical documentation and reports, and supporting continuous improvement in engineering processes and tools.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Project Management skills to oversee end-to-end solar projects and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Candidates should possess solid Team Leadership capabilities to guide, mentor, and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Candidates should possess experience with Software Development and Integration to work with design tools, monitoring platforms, and system interfaces for solar solutions.
Candidates should possess knowledge of solar energy systems, power generation technologies, and relevant electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
Candidates should possess proficiency in engineering and design software (e.g., PV design tools, CAD software) and familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related engineering field; prior experience in solar or renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
