About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER: VIKR TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
THE SHORT VERSION
VIKR Technologies, Inc. is hiring its first Chief Executive Officer. The company was incorporated in Delaware on 22 September 2026. The technology is built and working, the patent application is filed, and there is no CEO, no outside capital, and no customers yet. That is the job.
Compensation is $5,000 per month while you raise, capped at six months, then $150,000 to $185,000 once the round closes, and 5% of the company.
The founder holds VIKR's stock through a holding company and stays out of operations by design and by written federal ethics approval. The CEO runs it, reporting to the board. That is not a disclaimer; it is the structure.
If you have closed a seed round before and know the investors who fund government technology, keep reading. If you have not, this is not the seat.
THE PROBLEM
Proving that a government contractor is who it claims to be still runs on phone calls, screenshots, and paperwork that is out of date the moment it prints. A prime carries real exposure for its subcontractors' standing, and the only tools are manual lookups, repeated by a compliance team for each contract and each contractor.
There is no fast way to verify where a contractor actually stands, at the source. So everyone downstream is trusting stale information and hoping it holds.
WHAT VIKR DOES
VIKR issues a digital credential that carries its own proof.
A contractor's standing is gathered from multiple independent authoritative sources, not a single government list, and cross-checked against each other, so no one record can be wrong or gamed. The verified result is sealed into a credential with a signature that cannot be faked or altered, carrying a record of where each piece came from.
Anyone checking confirms in seconds that it is genuine, sees what it is based on, and makes their own call. No login, no portal, no phone call, and it works offline, because audits happen in rooms without connectivity.
Verify once at the source, trust it everywhere after. VIKR supplies the proof; the party checking keeps the decision.
We know of no one holding this position today. Registries verify and data vendors aggregate, both on platforms the checker must log into. Nobody issues a portable standing credential for federal contractors that the contractor holds and anyone can verify without calling the issuer.
WHERE THINGS STAND TODAY
Incorporated in Delaware on 22 September 2026.
A patent family is with outside patent counsel. An omnibus provisional application was filed on 18 September 2026, securing priority.
The production system runs end to end today, from source data to a signed credential that anyone can verify. It is documented well enough to hand to the technical hire on day one.
What does not exist yet: a CEO, a technical co-founder, outside capital, and paying customers. In that order.
THE MANDATE
Days 1 to 30. Hire the founding Chief Technology Officer. You get the full technical briefing on day one under NDA. That hire's terms are already set: 12% equity with a monthly stipend until salary triggers on a revenue or financing milestone, so you recruit against a defined offer.
Months 1 to 5. Build and run the investor pipeline and close the seed round: $2,000,000 minimum on a standard post-money SAFE at a $6,000,000 post-money cap. This is the first job, not a secondary duty.
Months 3 to 6. Product development with the Chief Technology Officer, toward first customer demonstrations.
Months 6 to 12. First paying customers, the first 50 to 100 credentialed organizations, and the start of the Series A narrative.
Months 12 onward. Series A preparation begins. The round is projected for the first half of 2029 at roughly $1,500,000 in annual recurring revenue: $8,000,000 to $12,000,000 at $25,000,000 to $35,000,000 pre-money.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN A YEAR
The round is closed, the technical co-founder is shipping, the first customers are paying, and the company depends on the founder for nothing but the intellectual property it licenses.
WHO THIS IS FOR
You have closed a seed or SAFE round. Not attempted. Closed.
You can name the partners at funds that back government, defense, or compliance technology, and reach them this month. Cold outreach takes six to nine months; warm relationships take six to nine weeks. That difference is the job.
You have operated inside or next to federal contracting, procurement, compliance, or defense technology, and can hold your own with investors who know the market.
You can see why the first market is an entry point rather than a ceiling, and can say so without overpromising.
You have six to twelve months of personal financial runway. The consulting fee is capped at six months, and salary starts only when the round closes. That is structural, not a negotiating position.
You have the network to hire a founding Chief Technology Officer within thirty days of your own start.
You are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
You are comfortable with a founder-owner who built the technology and the intellectual property, engages at board level, and stays out of daily operations.
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR
Anyone who needs a salary from day one. Anyone who wants to be handed a funded company. Anyone who treats fundraising as someone else's job. Anyone who needs the founder to make decisions for them.
COMPENSATION
Before the round closes: a $5,000 per month consulting engagement funded by the founder's holding company. It is a consulting fee, not deferred salary, capped at six months or $30,000, whichever comes first. If the round has not closed by then, the arrangement ends. That is why the mandate targets a close inside five months, and why personal runway matters.
At close: base salary of $150,000 to $185,000.
Equity: 5% of the company on a fully diluted basis. 1% granted when you start, 4% unlocking at the close, both vesting over four years from your start date with a one-year cliff, subject to a 409A valuation, with an 83(b) election required within 30 days of each grant. The cliff is deemed satisfied if the round closes before your first anniversary, after which vesting continues monthly on the same schedule.
The 5% is measured before the seed round. The round and the employee option pool dilute it, as they dilute everyone, including the founder.
Performance bonuses: up to $30,000 in the first year after close and up to $80,000 in the second, tied to named milestones.
Title: Chief Executive Officer. Strong commercial candidates one step below a sitting chief executive may start as President with a board-confirmed path to CEO. Same mandate either way.
Location: the Washington, DC area or Texas preferred. Remote considered for exceptional candidates.
Restrictive covenants are standard and negotiated in the employment agreement.
HOW THE COMPANY IS STRUCTURED, AND WHY IT MATTERS TO YOU
The founder holds VIKR's stock through Frami Hald, LLC, which also owns the intellectual property and licenses it to VIKR under an agreement that executes before the seed round. The founder is not an officer, director, employee, or signer, and is not in the operational reporting chain. This is under a written federal ethics opinion and an approved outside-activity request, and it holds for as long as the federal employment does.
For a chief executive that means real authority: you run the company and report to the board, not to the founder. It also means clean governance, the first thing an investor checks when the intellectual property sits in a related entity.
An independent director holds the board seat and makes the hiring decision for this role. The Chief Executive Officer reports to the board. The board is small by design and grows as the company raises.
WHAT YOU GET ON DAY ONE
A working product, a filed patent application, complete technical documentation, an executed intellectual property assignment, a Delaware corporation with clean governance, and an independent director who has already done the formation work. The license from the holding company is drafted and executes before the seed round.
PROCESS
Write to info@vikrtechnologies.com with three things: the round you closed and its size, the investors you can reach in this market, and your runway before a close.
If there is a fit, we sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement, and you get the full briefing package: business plan, investor materials, technical detail.
Conversations with the founder follow, then with the independent director, who makes the appointment and the offer.
QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK
Why isn't the founder running it? The founder is a federal employee. The structure was cleared in writing before the company was formed, and it is why the CEO seat c
