Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Role Description This part-time remote role for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Pilea focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining web applications across the front-end and back-end stack. The engineer will collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, implement user interfaces, and build robust APIs and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and tested code, reviewing code from other team members, and optimizing performance and security. The role also involves participating in technical discussions, contributing to architectural decisions, and supporting deployment and monitoring processes in a cloud-based environment.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Full-Stack Development and Software Development, with experience owning features end-to-end.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including building and integrating APIs and working with server-side frameworks.
Proficiency in Front-End Development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), including responsive design and modern JavaScript frameworks.
Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
Comfort working in remote, cross-functional teams, with clear communication and documentation practices.
Ability to design scalable, secure architectures and troubleshoot complex production issues.
Several years of experience in full-stack or related engineering roles; degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is beneficial.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern DevOps practices is a plus.
