WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The Director of Quality Assurance leads the quality strategy and Quality Management System (QMS) across SPG's U.S. operations, ensuring products, suppliers, and manufacturing processes consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements. This role is responsible for driving quality excellence through robust systems, supplier quality oversight, customer advocacy, compliance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Director partners closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, Sales, and other cross-functional stakeholders to improve operational performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and strengthen a culture of quality across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management Systems
Lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
Establish and standardize quality processes, including inspection, testing, product release, change management, CAPA, complaint handling, nonconformance management, and document control.
Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, industry, and internal quality requirements.
Serve as the senior quality leader for audits, management reviews, compliance programs, and quality governance activities.
Oversee internal and supplier audit programs, measurement systems, quality standards, and process controls.
Support new product development activities and ensure successful transfer of products into manufacturing.
Customer & Supplier Quality
Lead customer complaint investigations, warranty programs, and quality issue resolution.
Analyze customer feedback, warranty data, and claims trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Drive initiatives that improve customer satisfaction while reducing defects, warranty costs, and quality-related risks.
Establish supplier quality standards, performance metrics, and governance processes.
Lead supplier audits, scorecards, corrective actions, and supplier continuous improvement programs.
Partner with Procurement, Operations, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and strengthen supplier performance.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Lead, develop, and mentor quality professionals across multiple sites.
Foster a culture of accountability, quality excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Promote best-practice sharing and standardization across manufacturing locations.
Drive initiatives that improve quality, reduce waste, lower costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
Utilize data analysis, statistical methods, and structured problem-solving tools to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
Advance quality reporting, performance metrics, data integrity, and real-time monitoring capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, IT, and Sales to achieve quality and business objectives.
Communicate quality performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to leadership, customers, and key stakeholders.
Leverage customer and stakeholder feedback to improve products, processes, and overall business performance.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related scientific discipline.
10+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, including leadership and people management responsibilities.
Demonstrated expertise in quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or MBA.
Six Sigma and/or LEAN Black Belt certification.
ASQ certification or equivalent quality-focused training.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), regulatory requirements, and process improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma and ISO standards.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques.
Proven leadership capabilities with excellent communication, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
Experience managing quality systems and initiatives across multiple sites, regional operations, or global organizations.
Ability to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization.

Benefits In Joining Us
Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $165,500 to $264,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for our Sales Incentive Plan. The targeted bonus amount is 24% of base salary (max opportunity 48%) based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $205,220 to $327,980. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
