About ALEET
ALEET is a private transportation platform serving the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia market. We provide pre-booked private driver service for individuals, members, businesses, events, and other transportation needs.
The company is already established with its platform, executive leadership, marketing structure, acquisition strategies, and systems in place. We are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer / Cofounder to take ownership of Marketing and help grow ALEET as we move further into customer acquisition.
The Role
The CMO will own and lead ALEET’s Marketing Unit, working alongside the company’s CEO, CTO, and COO.
ALEET already has an existing marketing team handling day-to-day execution across multiple customer-acquisition channels, along with established marketing systems and strategies. The CMO will lead that team, oversee the company’s overall marketing direction, and have the authority to improve, expand, or introduce new strategies.
This is not a position where you are expected to personally handle every marketing task. You will have an existing team executing beneath you, while still being able to execute directly when your experience, relationships, or strategy can move the company forward.
The role includes customer acquisition, partnerships, advertising, B2B and B2C growth, affiliate development, campaign direction, and identifying new ways to bring customers and businesses into ALEET.
Compensation & Ownership
ALEET is currently structured into four equal Principal Units, with each Unit receiving 25% of the company’s distributable profit each quarter:
CEO — 25%
CTO — 25%
CMO — 25%
COO — 25%
As CMO, you own and lead the Marketing Unit and receive its 25% share of quarterly distributable company profit, just as the CEO, CTO, and COO each receive the 25% allocated to the Unit they own.
This is not a traditional salary position and is not commission-based compensation. The compensation is tied to owning and remaining responsible for your area of the company.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Owning ALEET’s overall marketing direction and strategy
Growing individual and business customer acquisition
Leading and overseeing the existing marketing team
Creating and expanding acquisition strategies
Developing direct partnerships that can bring customers, businesses, events, travelers, and other relevant users into ALEET
Building relationships with hotels, hospitality groups, event professionals, venues, travel businesses, corporate contacts, and other organizations relevant to private transportation
Leading affiliate and referral acquisition
Overseeing paid advertising and outbound acquisition
Reviewing customer acquisition and marketing results and determining where strategies should expand or change
Bringing your own relationships, strategies, experience, and acquisition opportunities into the company
Executing directly when your own expertise or relationships can move an opportunity forward
Existing Marketing Systems
ALEET already has a marketing team and acquisition systems in place. Current tools and methods include Apollo, Clay, Lemlist, Smartlead, Snov.io, direct-platform outreach, lead generation, physical/mail outreach, affiliate acquisition, paid advertising, and B2B/B2C acquisition.
You are not limited to these systems. We want a CMO who can understand and oversee what is already operating while also bringing additional strategies, tools, relationships, and acquisition methods where they make sense.
What We’re Looking For
We want someone with real customer-acquisition and marketing experience beyond simply sending outbound emails.
Relevant experience may include direct partnerships, B2B acquisition, B2C growth, hospitality or transportation marketing, affiliate development, paid advertising, business development, lead generation, customer conversion, local market growth, and building relationships that create recurring customer channels.
Strong candidates may already have relationships or direct access to businesses and professionals whose customers regularly need private transportation.
Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia experience or connections are strongly preferred. Candidates with useful connections in nearby major markets, including New York, are also encouraged to apply.
You should be comfortable both leading an existing marketing team and executing directly when necessary.
Location
This is a U.S.-based role.
Preference is given to applicants in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area, as well as candidates within close proximity to New York. Applicants elsewhere in the United States may still be considered.
