General Manager, AI Products

ROLE MISSION
Novara is hiring a hands-on General Manager, AI Products to turn an ambitious product direction into a focused business: helping people develop better judgment, identify worthwhile opportunities and work with others to build real projects.
We are building AI-supported learning and decision tools. You will help determine where those tools create enough value for people to adopt and pay for them, and build the team and operating discipline needed to deliver. Our team brings experience from xAI and Meta, alongside research experience at MIT.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Choose initial customer segments and test the value proposition and business model through direct conversations and experiments.
• Set product and company priorities with the founder and technical leadership, including what to defer or stop.
• Own trade-offs across budget, hiring, delivery and commercial development.
• Turn partner interest into scoped commitments with owners, resources and acceptance criteria.
• Establish clear responsibilities and a process for challenging and revising decisions.
• Communicate demonstrated capabilities and product limitations accurately.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within the first 90 days: a focused market thesis with tested assumptions; a practical product and commercial plan; clear resource choices; and customer or partner experiments that inform decisions. We measure progress through usage, delivery and commercial learning.
CORE CAPABILITIES
Judgment under uncertainty, product understanding, technical literacy, resource allocation, commercial communication and personal accountability. You can interrogate a build-versus-buy decision and recognize when a specialist should own it.
QUALIFICATIONS
Evidence of personally leading a product or business initiative with responsibility for people, resources and outcomes. You can explain consequential decisions, trade-offs, results and lessons. Prior CEO title is not required; operating ownership is.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Early-stage businesses or new product lines; AI or software products; enterprise partnerships; moving from initial adoption to sustained usage or revenue.
