Role Description As a Lead Epoxy Floor Technician, you will oversee the installation of epoxy, polyurea, and polyaspartic floor coatings from site preparation through final inspection in residential and commercial settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating job sites, coordinating materials and equipment, leading a small crew, and ensuring that surfaces are properly cleaned, repaired, and prepared for coating. You will apply coatings according to manufacturer specifications, maintain safety standards, and monitor quality to meet Wise Coatings of Mobile’s performance and appearance expectations. The role includes communicating with customers on-site about project status, managing timelines, and documenting completed work. This is a full-time remote role, with administrative, scheduling, and reporting tasks performed remotely while field work occurs at customer locations.
Qualifications
Hands-on skills in surface preparation, concrete repair, and application of epoxy, polyurea, and polyaspartic coatings; ability to operate related tools and equipment safely.
Experience leading small crews or teams, including task assignment, on-site training, and coordination of daily workflows.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to schedule jobs, track materials, and meet project deadlines.
Effective customer service and communication skills for explaining processes, setting expectations, and resolving on-site issues.
Attention to detail and quality control mindset to ensure coatings meet durability and appearance standards.
Basic math and measurement skills for mixing materials, calculating coverage, and interpreting job specifications.
Ability to work safely in varying conditions, including lifting moderate weights, standing for extended periods, and using personal protective equipment.
Comfort with remote tools and technology for scheduling, reporting, and communication with the office and customers.
Previous experience in coatings, construction, flooring, or a related trade is preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
