Role Description The System Administrator is a full-time remote role responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and improving NANSENSE’s IT infrastructure and systems. Day-to-day tasks include managing servers and workstations, performing software installations and updates, and ensuring system security and data integrity. The role also involves responding to technical support requests, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and optimizing system performance. The System Administrator will collaborate with internal teams to support network connectivity, user account management, and access control. This position requires proactive monitoring, documentation of procedures, and participation in planning and implementing IT improvements.
Qualifications
Strong skills in System Administration, including managing operating systems, servers, and user accounts.
Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software issues.
Experience with Network Administration, including configuration, monitoring, and securing network devices and services.
Solid foundation in Information Technology principles, IT security best practices, and infrastructure management.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Linux) are a plus.
Experience with remote work tools, ticketing systems, and documentation platforms.
Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and work independently in a remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
