Role Description The Bartender at Big Tree Cafe is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, coffee, and soft drinks, while ensuring consistent quality and presentation. This full-time, on-site role in Delhi, India involves welcoming guests, taking orders, making recommendations, and providing prompt, courteous service at the bar and cafe area. The Bartender will manage bar inventory, restock supplies, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensure all equipment is used safely. Daily tasks include handling cash or digital payments, following recipes and standard operating procedures, and collaborating with the service and kitchen teams to deliver a smooth guest experience. The role also involves following local regulations related to food and beverage service and supporting occasional events or busy shifts as needed.
Qualifications
Experience in bartending or beverage service in a cafe, bar, or restaurant; familiarity with basic cocktail and mocktail preparation.
Knowledge of beverage recipes, garnishing techniques, and safe handling of bar equipment and glassware.
Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
Ability to work on-site full time in Dwarka Sector 20, Delhi, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Good organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods.
Attention to cleanliness and hygiene, following food safety standards and maintaining a tidy bar and service area.
Basic numeracy and comfort with cash handling and digital payment systems.
Team-oriented mindset, reliability, and willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures.
Prior experience in hospitality or food and beverage service is preferred but not mandatory; formal training in bartending is an advantage.
