Job Title: US Payroll & Benefits Administrator (Spanish & English Speaker)
Geography / Location: LATAM (Remote)

Daniel P. O’Reilly and Company (DPO&Co.) is a boutique strategy consulting firm that specializes in rapidly delivering value to our clients. We engage with Private Equity firms and traditional corporate clients on projects similar to those done at A.T Kearney, McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Strategy&, etc. Additionally, our BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) services are specifically targeted to mid-market clients to improve any inefficiency in the back-office functions by leveraging labor cost arbitrage and time zone difference. BPO performs several services, including Finance & Accounting, CRM, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, HR, Admin functions, and many more based on our clients’ specific needs. After several successful years and completing over 50 engagements, we have also entered the Principal Investing arena, closing our first deal on a Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing company in September 2020. The team spans globally with team members in Chicago, Puerto Rico, New Delhi, Colombia, Indonesia, and Philippines. Our BPO team has tripled since 2020 and we are looking for new team members who could elevate our team’s experience and skills to the next level!
Responsibilities:
The US Payroll & Benefits Administrator is responsible for administering U.S. payroll, compensation, and employee benefits programs to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant delivery. This role serves as a key resource for employees regarding payroll, benefits, leave administration, and related policies, while maintaining accurate employee records and supporting HR operations.
1. Compensation & Benefits
Administer employee compensation and benefits programs across the U.S.
Manage employee benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, and annual open enrollment.
Coordinate insurance registrations, changes, reconciliations, and communications with benefit providers.
Administer U.S. benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, COBRA, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k), and wellness programs.
Support compensation changes, salary adjustments, bonus and commission administration, and employee rewards programs.
Respond to employee inquiries related to compensation, benefits, payroll, leave, and related policies.
Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure employee benefit elections are properly reflected in HRIS and payroll systems.
2. Payroll
Process weekly and biweekly U.S. payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP Workforce Now.
Review, audit, and validate payroll transactions, including hours worked, earnings, deductions, taxes, commissions, bonuses, benefit elections, and other adjustments.
Process payroll changes related to new hires, terminations, promotions, compensation adjustments, and leaves of absence.
Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure employee data remains up to date in the HRIS and payroll systems.
Support payroll reconciliations and investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Support year-end payroll activities and reporting.
Assist with payroll tax, Social Security, and other payroll-related requirements.
3. HR Administration
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for employees, ensuring all required employment and payroll documentation is completed accurately.
Prepare and maintain employment-related documents and employee records.
Process employee status changes, including new hires, terminations, promotions, compensation changes, and other personnel changes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems.
Participate in annual open enrollment and other HR administrative activities.
Prepare HR, payroll, and benefits reports for management, compliance requirements, and audits.
Develop and maintain payroll, benefits, and HR procedures and documentation.
4. Compliance & Employee Support
Ensure payroll and benefits administration complies with applicable U.S. federal and state laws and regulations.
Maintain a strong understanding of U.S. payroll practices, wage and hour requirements, payroll taxes, Social Security, 401(k) requirements, and employee benefits regulations.
Partner with payroll, benefits, insurance, and other external vendors to resolve employee and administrative issues.
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee, payroll, compensation, and benefits information.
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance HR operations, payroll accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience.
Manage multiple priorities and payroll/benefits deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in U.S. payroll, compensation & benefits, or HR operations.
Hands-on experience processing U.S. payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
Strong knowledge of: U.S. payroll administration, Payroll taxes, Social Security, U.S. wage and hour requirements, 401(k) plans, Employee benefits administration, FSA, HSA, and COBRA
Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
Experience supporting a multi-country workforce is highly preferred.
Experience supporting 300+ employees, preferably within a U.S.-based organization, is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and time-sensitive payroll activities.
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee, payroll, compensation, and benefits information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
