Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India. This role oversees end-to-end production activities, including planning, scheduling, and managing daily workflow to meet order deadlines and quality standards. The Production Manager coordinates with procurement, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure materials availability, efficient resource utilization, and timely dispatch. Responsibilities include monitoring production performance, resolving operational issues, implementing process improvements, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role also involves supervising and mentoring production staff, preparing regular reports for management, and supporting cost optimization initiatives while maintaining product quality.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in production planning, scheduling, and workflow management in a manufacturing or export-oriented environment.
Strong skills in team leadership, staff supervision, and cross-functional coordination with procurement, quality, and logistics.
Ability to analyze production data, track key performance indicators, and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost control.
Knowledge of quality assurance practices, safety standards, and basic regulatory requirements relevant to manufacturing and exports.
Proficiency with production management tools or ERP systems, and comfort working with spreadsheets and reporting software.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to make timely decisions under pressure.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience in an export house or textile/apparel/consumer goods production environment is an advantage.
