Location: Remote within UK - Hybrid in office London/Manchester
Rate – GBP 400 - 440 per day (Inside IR35)

Role Purpose
A security architect will create and designs security for DLA-C, maintain security documentation, and develop architecture patterns.
Review high-level architecture designs to embed security controls early in the development lifecycle.
Security Standards: Works with DWP Security to define enterprise security patterns and ensure HLSAD aligns to security standards.
Risk Assessment: Identify architectural gaps and document residual risks with clear remediation paths.
Project Description
The business processes within its Cobol code are inadequately documented, and the extensive codebase presents significant challenges in training staff to support the system, debug issues, and accommodate new legislative requirements.
IBM supported a feasibility which proposed a Refactor approach.
Subsequently IBM embarked on the design and analysis phase to analyse the DLA-C COBOL code, create a high-level design and scope the first wave of the delivery plan.
IBM is now within the build phase (and have completed build for Wave 1) whilst completing high- and low-level design simultaneously for the remaining features.
