Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Advocate role based in Bengaluru. The Junior Advocate will assist senior advocates with case preparation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, notices, contracts, and other legal documents. Daily responsibilities include reviewing case files, summarizing judgments, preparing briefs, and supporting court appearances by organizing documents and coordinating with clients. The role involves attending court proceedings, client meetings, and conferences, and maintaining accurate records and case updates. The Junior Advocate will work closely with the team to ensure timely filings, adherence to procedural requirements, and effective client communication.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and regulatory materials.
Candidates should possess solid drafting and writing skills for preparing pleadings, contracts, notices, legal opinions, and correspondence.
Candidates should possess good communication and client-handling skills, including the ability to explain legal concepts clearly and maintain professional relationships.
Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple matters, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed case records.
Enrollment with the Bar Council and a completed LL.B. (or equivalent law degree) from a recognized institution.
Willingness to attend court regularly, learn from senior advocates, and take initiative on assigned matters.
High standards of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in litigation or law firm practice is an advantage but not mandatory.
