Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in New Delhi. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain back-end services and applications that support core retail systems, such as inventory, order processing, and customer data management. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, implementing object-oriented designs, integrating APIs, and optimizing database interactions for performance and reliability. The role involves collaborating with product managers, other engineers, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, as well as troubleshooting issues and improving existing systems. The Software Engineer will also participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of development practices and tools.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Experience with Software Development and Programming in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their practical application in production systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Ability to analyze requirements, debug complex issues, and deliver reliable, maintainable code in a team environment.
Knowledge of database technologies (SQL or NoSQL) and basic performance optimization techniques is beneficial.
Experience in retail, e-commerce, or enterprise systems is a plus but not required.
