Role Description The Civil Engineer role at Shaswat Engineering is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage systems, buildings, and utilities. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications; coordinating with architects, contractors, and project managers; and ensuring work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. The role involves conducting site visits, monitoring project progress, resolving technical issues, and supporting stormwater management and other civil works. The Civil Engineer will also contribute to project scheduling, cost estimation, documentation, and reporting.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering fundamentals, including structural and infrastructure systems.
Experience working as Civil Engineers on planning, execution, and supervision of construction projects.
Ability to lead and support Planning activities, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with stakeholders.
Knowledge of Stormwater Management, drainage design, and related hydrology/hydraulics principles.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, civil design tools) and MS Office.
Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements applicable in Mumbai and Maharashtra.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
Prior experience in infrastructure or real estate development projects is preferred.
