Role Description The Senior Medical Writer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This role involves developing clear, accurate, and engaging scientific and medical content for a variety of healthcare advertising and communication projects. Daily responsibilities include researching clinical data and scientific literature, writing and reviewing medical copy for campaigns and educational materials, and ensuring all content is medically sound, compliant, and aligned with client objectives. The Senior Medical Writer will collaborate closely with strategy, creative, and design teams to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling messages. The role also includes mentoring junior writers, contributing to content strategy, and supporting internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong expertise in Medical Writing and Scientific Writing for diverse healthcare audiences.
Candidates should possess skills in Medical Communications, including developing materials for healthcare professionals and patients.
Candidates should possess advanced Writing skills, with the ability to tailor tone and style to different brands and channels.
Candidates should possess solid Research skills for interpreting clinical studies, guidelines, and scientific literature.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MSc, PhD, MD) is an advantage.
Experience in healthcare advertising, medical affairs, or related communication roles, preferably in an agency or consulting environment.
Strong attention to detail, familiarity with scientific terminology, and ability to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
