Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Autodesk Inventor & Vault Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, 3D modelling, and engineering documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault, with experience in managing CAD data, creating detailed engineering drawings, and maintaining design documentation. The candidate will work closely with engineering teams to support design development, documentation, and CAD data management activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and modify 3D mechanical models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
* Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing and engineering drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and annotations.
* Manage and maintain CAD files, revisions, and engineering documents using Autodesk Vault.
* Perform design modifications and updates based on engineering requirements.
* Maintain proper CAD data structure, file naming, revision control, and document management.
* Work with assemblies, components, sheet metal, and mechanical parts in Autodesk Inventor.
* Ensure drawings and models meet required design and drafting standards.
* Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
* Review existing designs and implement engineering changes when required.
* Support BOM creation, drawing updates, and engineering documentation.
* Troubleshoot CAD-related issues and maintain data accuracy within Vault.
* Follow company and project-specific engineering and documentation standards.
Required Skills
* 4+ years of experience in Mechanical Design / CAD Engineering.
* Strong hands-on experience in Autodesk Inventor.
* Strong experience with Autodesk Vault and CAD data management.
* Good knowledge of 3D modelling, assemblies, and 2D drafting.
* Experience in creating manufacturing/engineering drawings.
* Good understanding of GD&T, tolerances, dimensions, and drafting standards.
* Experience with revision control and engineering change management.
* Knowledge of sheet metal design is preferred.
* Good understanding of BOM and engineering documentation.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to work effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams.
