Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling volunteers to support programs related to child development and community engagement. The Coordinator will organize volunteer training sessions, maintain volunteer records, and ensure volunteers understand their responsibilities and organizational policies. Day-to-day tasks include supervising volunteer activities, providing guidance and feedback, and addressing queries or concerns to maintain a positive volunteer experience. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to identify volunteer needs, coordinating community outreach initiatives, and preparing brief reports on volunteer participation and impact.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training skills to effectively recruit, train, and retain volunteers.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills to engage volunteers, stakeholders, and community partners.
Candidates should possess experience in Community Outreach and relationship building with local organizations, schools, and healthcare providers.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and schedules.
Prior experience coordinating volunteers or working in nonprofit, education, or health-tech settings is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, public health, or a related field is preferred.
Comfort working in an on-site, collaborative environment in New Delhi and commitment to child development and inclusive practices.
