Role Description This remote Blogger internship role involves creating engaging lifestyle and culture articles that align with Lifestyle Gist’s editorial voice. Interns will research topics, pitch story ideas, and write blog posts covering relationships, society, and everyday experiences relevant to Nigerian audiences. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and revising content, optimizing posts for web readability, and collaborating with editors to refine angles and tone. The role may also involve basic content promotion activities and participating in virtual editorial meetings. This is an internship position designed to help emerging writers build their portfolio and gain experience in digital publishing.
Qualifications
Strong Writing and Web Content Writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and audience-focused blog posts.
Research and Blogger skills to identify relevant topics, support articles with credible information, and manage a consistent posting schedule.
Basic Marketing skills to help promote content, understand audience engagement, and contribute to simple content distribution strategies.
Excellent command of written English; familiarity with Nigerian culture, trends, and everyday realities.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, meet deadlines, and respond to editorial feedback constructively.
Previous blogging, student journalism, or personal writing projects are an advantage, though formal experience is not required.
Access to a reliable internet connection and basic proficiency with online publishing tools or content management systems.
