Senior Engineer - NPI

Job Summary-
The Sr Engineer in the New Product Introduction Department is responsible to work as part of a team to guarantee successful project launches while reducing risk and establishing a repeatable and reliable process satisfying the customer’s expectations. The Sr Engineer will provide support to the SME Manager who is responsible to manage supplier audits, new supplier PPAP engagements, contract management and provide general technical support as needed.
Responsibilities-
o Schedule projects to execute successful timelines for contract manufacturing, first time PPAP suppliers and initial supplier onboarding and supplier audits.
o Communicate project progress clearly to the Senior Manager-NPI in a timely manner.
o Communicate/Interaction with US/Foreign customers so there will be experience required of Foreign Customer Handling
o Assist the Sourcing and Engineering team in print and product reviews,
o Evaluate and define the required process from print interpretation.
o Good in any manufacturing process like Machining/Fabrication/Casting
o Assist in selecting the correct supplier from the TBG supplier base and/or qualify a new supplier if required.
o Assist in trouble shooting technical challenges within the engineering group to keep processes on time and effective.
Requirements-
· 4-year degree in Mechnical Engineering
· 7-9 yrs experience in a related role
· Fluent in English- written and spoken
· Foreign Customer Handling experience & fluent in English- written and spoken
· Experience with Control Plans, Process Mapping
· Six Sigma certification preferred
