Assistant Manager - IT Applications & Operations

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on IT Applications & Systems Manager to oversee the operations, support, maintenance, and development of our company's POS and Back Office ERP applications. This role blends technical depth with operational oversight — the ideal candidate will manage application performance, drive continuous service improvement, and ensure smooth, uninterrupted business processes across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Application & Systems Management
• Manage and support the company's .Net-based front-end software applications and MS SQL Server backend systems.
• Oversee online e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and WordPress.
• Manage mobile applications used across the organization.
• Administer and support Loyalty Program systems.
• Manage the end-to-end release process for applications, ensuring effective communication across departments and to end users.
Support & Troubleshooting
• Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance for all applications, including on-call coverage as required.
• Track and follow up on application tickets raised by POS and ERP vendors through to resolution.
• Meet defined Support SLAs for problem resolution and application upkeep.
• Act as the primary point of contact for communication on software/application issues, collaborating with internal teams and vendors on changes, fixes, and updates.
Infrastructure & Vendor Management
• Manage and maintain IT hardware and infrastructure, coordinating closely with IT vendors.
• Handle budgeting and procurement for IT hardware.
• Supervise database and file backup processes, ensuring adherence to company backup policies.
Strategic & Analytical
• Maintain a strong understanding of technology trends and apply them to support company business objectives.
• Apply strong analytical skills to drive performance management and process improvement.
• Provide oversight and management support to internal departments to ensure smooth delivery of IT services.
Required Skills & Experience
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in IT application management, preferably within a POS/ERP environment.
• Strong working knowledge of .Net applications and MS SQL Server.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WordPress).
• Familiarity with mobile application management.
• Working knowledge of Tally ERP, API integrations, and POS systems.
• Experience in IT vendor management and hardware procurement/budgeting.
• Strong business/analytical skills with the ability to translate technical issues into business impact.
