Supervisor- Production

Varun Beverages Ltd., a leading player in the beverage industry, is seeking a proactive Production Supervisor for its manufacturing plant. The role involves managing crown‑capping operations, ensuring equipment reliability, maintaining stringent quality standards, and fostering a safe, 5S‑driven work environment. The successful candidate will coordinate maintenance activities, monitor production metrics, and lead a team to achieve optimal efficiency and minimal waste.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years experience operating crown‑capping machinery in a beverage or FMCG environment.
Proven knowledge of OEM maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance planning.
Strong understanding of quality control principles and ability to conduct in‑line inspections.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance logs.
Good analytical and problem‑solving skills for rapid troubleshooting.
Familiarity with 5S, OSHA/HSE safety standards and waste reduction practices.
Proficient in maintaining accurate production records and reporting.
Effective communication and team‑leadership abilities.
Willingness to work rotating shifts and occasional overtime.
Set up, start up, and safely operate the crown‑capping machine and auxiliary equipment to achieve production targets.
Execute routine, preventative, and autonomous maintenance per OEM manuals and schedule.
Perform in‑line quality inspections on crowned bottles to ensure seal integrity and compliance.
Monitor and reduce material rejection rates, including crown waste and damaged caps.
Record shift output, downtime, and rejection data accurately in production logbooks.
Troubleshoot minor mechanical and alignment issues to minimize downtime.
Maintain a clean work area and enforce 5S and safety protocols at the operating station.
