Role Description The Land Acquisition Trainee role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tamil Nadu, India. The trainee will assist in identifying potential land parcels by conducting field visits, gathering local market information, and supporting preliminary feasibility assessments. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and organizing documentation, supporting due diligence activities, maintaining databases of properties, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders under supervision. The role also involves assisting with basic market research, preparing reports, and learning regulatory and compliance requirements related to land acquisition and development. The trainee will work closely with senior team members, receiving guidance to develop skills in land evaluation, negotiation support, and project coordination.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Acquisitions and Land Acquisition, with an interest in learning structured approaches to identifying and securing land parcels.
Candidates should possess skills in Due Diligence, including the ability to assist with document review, site checks, and verification processes under guidance.
Candidates should possess skills in Land Development, with a basic understanding or willingness to learn about zoning, approvals, and development potential.
Candidates should possess skills in Market Research, including collecting local data, analyzing trends, and supporting simple reports on property values and demand.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Tamil is highly beneficial.
Ability to travel locally within Tamil Nadu for site visits and stakeholder meetings as required.
Relevant academic background in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Commerce, Business, or a related field is preferred, but applicants with strong interest and aptitude will be considered.
Comfort working on-site, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and learning from experienced professionals in a field-based environment.
