Role Description The Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care to companion animals, including performing physical examinations, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and conducting follow-up evaluations. Day-to-day responsibilities include administering vaccinations, prescribing medications, performing routine and minor surgical procedures, and monitoring patient recovery. The role involves communicating clearly with pet guardians about diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and home-care instructions. The Veterinarian will collaborate with veterinary assistants and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate medical records, and a clean, safe environment for animals and humans. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune District.
Qualifications
Possess strong clinical skills in animal examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventive care.
Demonstrate competence in common veterinary procedures, including vaccinations, minor surgeries, wound management, and emergency stabilization.
Exhibit clear and empathetic communication skills for discussing medical information and care plans with clients.
Show ability to maintain accurate medical records and collaborate effectively with veterinary support staff.
Hold a recognized veterinary degree (e.g., BVSc or equivalent) and valid registration with the appropriate veterinary council.
Display commitment to animal welfare, ethical practice, and adherence to relevant laws and professional standards.
Be willing to work flexible hours as needed for patient care, including weekends or extended hours during busy periods.
Previous experience in a small animal clinic or hospital in India is preferred but not required; new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
