Executive Assistant to the CEO & Special Projects
Company: Your Haven
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Position: Full Time
Travel: Frequent
Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 base salary + performance bonuses. Target total compensation of approximately $110,000–$140,000+ depending on experience, individual performance, and company performance.
The Role
Your Haven is looking for an exceptional person to work directly alongside our Founder and CEO, Derek Clelan.
This is not a traditional Executive Assistant position.
The purpose of this role is simple:
Maximize the CEO's time, energy, and impact.
Your Haven is growing quickly. Alongside the company, we are building industry partnerships, hosting events, speaking across the country, creating content, growing a contractor community, and constantly developing new opportunities.
There is more opportunity than there is time.
Your job is to help change that.
You will own Derek's calendar, travel, and logistics, but the role goes far beyond scheduling.
When we travel to an industry event, your job isn't simply to make sure the flight and hotel are booked.
Who should Derek meet while he's there?
Which Your Haven customers are attending?
Which prospects or partners should we spend time with?
Should we host a dinner?
Could we record a podcast?
Is there an opportunity to create content?
What conversations should happen?
How can we turn one trip into five valuable outcomes?
We are looking for someone who naturally thinks this way.
Someone who doesn't just complete tasks.
Someone who anticipates what needs to happen next and makes it happen.
What You'll Own
You will take ownership of the CEO's calendar, travel, logistics, and day to day organization.
This includes:
Managing and optimizing the CEO's calendar.
Booking and coordinating flights, hotels, transportation, reservations, and travel.
Creating clear itineraries so the CEO always knows where to be, when to be there, and what he needs.
Preparing for meetings and making sure important context is available beforehand.
Tracking commitments, conversations, and follow ups so opportunities don't get lost.
Coordinating meetings, dinners, customer interactions, and relationship opportunities around travel.
Helping manage speaking engagements, podcasts, partnerships, and industry appearances.
Planning and executing Your Haven events, contractor experiences, dinners, golf events, and special projects.
Working closely with the Your Haven leadership team.
Communicating on behalf of the CEO when appropriate.
Using AI, automation, and technology to continually improve how you and the CEO operate.
And most importantly:
Learning how the CEO operates well enough to anticipate what needs to happen before being asked.
What Great Looks Like
A great person in this role doesn't just save the CEO time.
They multiply the value of his time.
The calendar reflects the company's priorities.
Travel feels effortless.
Important relationships are consistently maintained.
Trips are maximized instead of simply attended.
Follow ups happen without reminders.
Ideas don't disappear after conversations.
Events happen because someone owns making them happen.
Problems are identified before they become problems.
The CEO spends less time thinking about logistics and more time building the company.
Eventually, you should know the CEO, the company, and the priorities well enough to say:
"You don't need to be in this meeting."
"You haven't followed up with this person."
"We have three hours open Thursday, so I scheduled this."
"You mentioned this idea six weeks ago. Here's what I've done with it."
That's the level we're looking for.
Who We're Looking For
You are extremely organized.
You are naturally proactive.
You don't need someone constantly telling you what to do next.
You have a high level of urgency and follow through.
You are resourceful and good at figuring things out.
You have excellent judgment.
You can be trusted with highly confidential information.
You communicate extremely well.
You are emotionally intelligent and good with people.
You are comfortable interacting with everyone from employees and customers to founders, CEOs, and industry leaders.
You are comfortable traveling frequently.
You understand that supporting an entrepreneur doesn't always fit perfectly inside traditional Monday through Friday business hours.
You are comfortable with plans changing.
You enjoy solving problems.
You are highly capable with technology.
You actively use AI in your work and are constantly looking for ways to become more effective.
You aren't afraid to challenge the CEO when you believe his time could be used better.
And you genuinely enjoy helping another person perform at an extremely high level.
Experience
Previous experience directly supporting a founder, CEO, entrepreneur, investor, or senior executive is strongly preferred.
Experience as an Executive Assistant, Senior Executive Assistant, Executive Business Partner, Executive Operations Partner, Founder Associate, or similar role is valuable.
Experience managing travel, calendars, events, projects, and executive relationships is strongly preferred.
But title matters less than capability.
We care about what you've actually owned and accomplished.
Location & Travel
We are based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Being located in Las Vegas is strongly preferred because we want this person to be able to work closely with Derek in person when needed.
This is not a traditional office job, and it is not a traditional remote EA position.
There will be frequent travel throughout the year for conferences, speaking engagements, company events, partner meetings, and other opportunities.
You should genuinely enjoy traveling and being around people.
The Relationship
We're looking for someone who wants to build something long term.
You will work extremely closely with Derek and eventually become one of the people he trusts most.
You will have visibility into important company decisions, relationships, opportunities, and challenges.
Over time, you should understand Derek's priorities and operating style well enough to protect his time, challenge how he's using it, anticipate what he needs, and help him operate at a significantly higher level.
For the right person, there is significant opportunity for this position to grow.
Over time, the role could evolve beyond Executive Assistant into an Executive Operations Partner or similar leadership position depending on your abilities and the needs of the company.
Compensation
We believe strongly in rewarding performance.
This position will include:
Competitive base salary
Meaningful performance based bonus opportunity
Additional upside tied to company performance
Our philosophy is simple:
When you create more value for the company, we want you to participate in that value.
We aren't looking to build a compensation plan around simply completing tasks.
We want to reward exceptional execution, judgment, initiative, and impact.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume along with answers to the following questions:

5. What does "managing up" mean to you?

8. Are you comfortable traveling frequently and occasionally working outside traditional business hours when necessary?
Finally, send us a short video, no longer than three minutes, answering:
Why do you believe you and Derek would work well together?
We're not evaluating video production quality.
We want to get to know you.

One Last Thing
If you're looking for a traditional Executive Assistant position where you receive a list of tasks, complete them, and wait for the next assignment, this probably isn't the right opportunity.
If you naturally notice what needs to happen next, love creating order out of chaos, enjoy being around ambitious people, and get satisfaction from helping someone and a company operate at a much higher level, we'd like to hear from you.
The goal isn't to keep the CEO busy.
The goal is to make his time count.
