Areas
Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities
Performance Analytics & Management Decision Support:
Own Logistics & Customer Service performance dashboard covering service, cost, inventory, warehousing, freight, CFA and manpower KPIs.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly performance reviews with trends, exceptions, root causes, actions and recommendations.
Convert data into concise management insights and decision-ready presentations for leadership and business reviews.
Consolidate inputs across BLMs, Customer Service, & cross functional teams into a single, accurate performance view.
Establish standard reporting templates and automate recurring reporting to reduce manual data preparation and rework.
Proactively identify emerging risks, performance gaps and opportunities requiring management intervention.
2.Cost Productivity & Financial Excellence:
Own monthly logistics cost analytics, cost bridge, cost-to-serve analytics and budget-versus-actual performance.
Build and maintain a cost productivity pipeline covering savings opportunities, owners, timelines, baselines, targets and realised benefits.
Identify cost drivers and quantify savings opportunities across freight, warehousing, CFA, manpower, storage and other logistics spends.
Support cost forecasting and cost reviews with robust analysis and business cases.
Timely and accurate submission of the Annual Logistics Budget.
Track savings realisation and ensure benefits are sustained and reflected in financial performance.
Monthly Logistics Cost provision submission to finance with 100% accuracy.
Ensure timely processing of CFA payment bills and NDCs, reducing financial discrepancies.
3.Logistics Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
Identify and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve service, productivity, cost and process efficiency.
Conduct structured root-cause analysis for recurring operational issues and drive sustainable corrective actions.
Standardise processes, KPIs, operating practices and governance mechanisms across the logistics network.
Benchmark performance across locations and identify best practices for replication.
Track improvement projects from problem definition through implementation, benefit validation and closure.
4.Network, Capacity planning:
Analyse CFA and warehouse capacity, space utilisation, throughput.
Support warehouse shifts, new warehouse requirements, cold-chain capacity decisions and network optimisation through scenario analysis.
Evaluate network and distribution changes across cost, service, capacity and inventory implications.
Develop fact-based business cases for network, capacity and logistics operating-model decisions.
5.Digital, Data & Automation:
Identify repetitive/manual activities suitable for automation, digitization or simplification.
Develop and enhance dashboards and automated reporting using available digital and analytics tools.
Partner with IT and business teams to improve SAP, reporting and logistics systems/processes.
Drive adoption of standard digital tools and data-based performance management across Logistics.
Explore advanced analytics, automation and emerging digital solutions that can improve visibility, productivity and decision quality.
6.Governance & Action Management:
Establish a structured performance governance cadence across Logistics & Customer Service.
Maintain a central action tracker with owners, timelines, status, risks and expected benefits.
Drive closure of actions arising from business reviews, audits, cost reviews and improvement projects.
Provide exception-based escalation to the Head - Logistics & Customer Service where intervention is required.
7. Process, Inventory & Compliance Excellence:
Coordinate inventory audit calendars and monitor inventory accuracy, stock hygiene, ageing and expiry across CFAs.
Track audit observations and drive timely closure with relevant stakeholders.
Identify recurring process/control gaps and drive systemic corrective actions.
Support compliance with defined logistics processes, controls and governance standards.
8.Stakeholder Management & Capability Building:
Work closely with Sales, Planning, Finance, IT, Procurement, BLMs, CFAs and logistics partners to deliver cross-functional outcomes.
Facilitate structured problem-solving and performance reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
Build a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement within the function.
Develop and share standard tools, templates and analytical capabilities across the Logistics team.

Role Requirements
Educational Qualifications
PG Degree in General / Operations Management
Experience (Type & Nature)
6 - 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Excellence, Business Analytics or Transformation, preferably in FMCG / Food / Consumer businesses.
Skills & Technical Competencies
Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel; Power BI / dashboarding experience preferred.
Strong understanding of logistics cost drivers, service KPIs, warehousing, transportation and distribution operations.
Ability to build business cases, interpret financial data and quantify cost/productivity opportunities.
Strong project management and cross-functional stakeholder management capability.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to simplify complex analysis into clear management messages.
Experience with SAP and exposure to logistics digitalisation/automation is preferred.
Structured problem-solving orientation with strong ownership and execution discipline.
