Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in New Delhi. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support internal workflows, client-facing platforms, and legal process automation. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing back-end services and APIs, integrating data sources and third-party tools, optimizing application performance and security, and troubleshooting technical issues. The role involves collaborating with legal professionals and operations teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver reliable, scalable solutions. The Software Engineer will also participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and development standards.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with experience using at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
Hands-on experience in Software Development, including requirements analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Practical skills in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side frameworks.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and work with version control systems such as Git.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and security.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
Experience or interest in legal-tech, workflow automation, or building tools for professional services is an advantage.
