Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Developer role based in Bengaluru. The Senior Developer will design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable software systems that power FlyNava’s AI-driven airline pricing platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing backend services and APIs, integrating data and machine learning components, and ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior developers. The Senior Developer will also contribute to architectural decisions, improve development processes, and support deployment and troubleshooting in production environments.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or similar) and experience building robust backend services or microservices.
Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance optimization for large-scale, data-intensive applications.
Knowledge of distributed systems, API design (REST or GraphQL), and integration with cloud platforms or containerized environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with machine learning or data science workflows, and experience integrating ML models or decision engines into production systems is a plus.
Background in software architecture, design patterns, and best practices for secure, maintainable, and testable code, including unit and integration testing.
Experience working in agile or iterative development environments, with strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide other developers, take ownership of features end-to-end, and make informed technical decisions aligned with product goals.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in travel, aviation, or pricing systems is an advantage.
