🚀 Job Title: MSSQL Database Administrator
📍 Location: HCLTech Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (on-site)
📅Experience: 6 Years to 12 Years
💼 We are looking for experienced professionals with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration and Azure Infrastructure as a Service (Azure IaaS) to support enterprise-scale database environments.
📌 Required Technical Expertise
✅ Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration.
✅ Expertise in SQL Server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, and version management.
✅ Hands-on experience administering SQL Server on Azure IaaS (Azure Virtual Machines).
✅ Strong knowledge of SQL Server Backup, Restore, Recovery Models, and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
✅ Experience implementing and supporting High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including Always on Availability Groups, SQL Server Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC), Log Shipping, and SQL Server Replication.
✅ Expertise in database performance monitoring, performance tuning, query execution plan analysis, index optimization, and database maintenance.
✅ Strong understanding of SQL Server security, including authentication, authorization, encryption (Transparent Data Encryption - TDE), user access management, and auditing.
✅ Hands-on experience performing database integrity checks using DBCC CHECKDB and implementing proactive database health monitoring.
✅ Experience troubleshooting production database issues related to performance, blocking, deadlocks, CPU, memory, storage, and connectivity.
✅ Hands-on experience with SQL Server Agent, Maintenance Plans, capacity planning, and proactive database monitoring.
✅ Good understanding of Windows Server environments supporting SQL Server deployments.
✅ Experience with Azure Virtual Machines, Managed Disks, Availability Sets, Availability Zones, Azure Backup, and Azure Monitor.
✅ Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for SQL Server administration and automation is preferred.
✅ Experience working in enterprise production environments with Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.
✅ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
📍 Preferred
⭐ Microsoft SQL Server and/or Microsoft Azure certifications are an added advantage.
⭐ Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical database environments.
