Role Description The AI/ML Intern role at Noemi Shielding Technology is a full-time, on-site position located in the Pune District. The intern will support the design, development, and testing of AI and machine learning models for applications relevant to shielding technologies and related domains. Day-to-day activities include data collection and preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, and implementation of algorithms under the guidance of senior team members. The intern will help build prototypes, evaluate model performance, document findings, and present results to the project team. The role also involves collaborating with engineers and researchers, reviewing technical literature, and contributing to continuous improvement of internal tools, workflows, and methodologies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess foundational skills in programming and software development for AI/ML, such as Python, data structures, and use of common libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn).
Candidates should possess skills in machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and basic understanding of deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow or PyTorch).
Candidates should possess skills in data handling and analysis, including data cleaning, feature engineering, visualization, and working with structured and unstructured datasets.
Candidates should possess skills in mathematical and statistical reasoning, including linear algebra, probability, and statistics relevant to model building and validation.
Candidates should possess skills in problem-solving and research, such as reviewing academic or industry publications, experimenting with new approaches, and clearly documenting technical work.
Candidates should possess strong communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and respond constructively to feedback.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
Prior project or internship experience in AI/ML, participation in competitions, or contributions to open-source projects are considered beneficial.
