The person
This search is deliberately targeted. Direct senior compliance experience gained within an FCA-regulated claims management company or marketing and client acquisition agency for law firms is essential — applications from broader financial-services compliance backgrounds without this specific experience will not be suitable and will not be considered.
You will bring:
A strong, current working knowledge of the FCA regulatory framework applicable to claims management, including CMCOB, Consumer Duty, SYSC, DISP, SM&CR and regulatory reporting/engagement.
Proven expertise in compliant customer acquisition, advertising and financial promotions, including digital channels, lead generation and live-campaign oversight.
Practical knowledge of UK GDPR, PECR and data-sharing/direct-marketing requirements.
Experience working closely with claimant law firms and an understanding of the legal-services and referral environment.
A demonstrable ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and stop or remediate activity where standards are not met.
A hands-on, organised and delivery-focused approach, with sound judgement, discretion and strong written communication.
Experience in high-volume consumer claims, regulated financial-services claims, personal injury, litigation funding or related claimant-acquisition models would be particularly valuable. Previous SMF16 or equivalent senior compliance responsibility is desirable, but not essential.
