MEP Electrical Design Engineer

Role Description The MEP Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, and related infrastructure. Day-to-day activities include preparing electrical layouts and schematics, performing load calculations, selecting equipment, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards. The role involves coordinating with other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural), attending project meetings, and supporting site teams during installation and commissioning. The engineer will also review vendor documents, participate in design reviews, and contribute to technical documentation and reports. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with practical understanding of electricity and electrical systems.
Experience in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for building services or MEP projects.
Knowledge of power distribution systems, including load calculations, panel schedules, and cable sizing.
Proficiency with relevant design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM software) and MS Office.
Familiarity with national and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IS codes, NEC where applicable).
Ability to interpret technical drawings, prepare clear documentation, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Prior experience in MEP consulting or building design projects in an on-site environment is preferred.
