Role Description The Junior Architect will support project teams in developing design concepts, preparing drawings, and producing documentation across different project stages. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with schematic design, drafting and detailing using design and CAD/BIM software, coordinating with senior architects, and preparing presentations and reports. The role also involves participating in site visits, recording observations, and helping incorporate feedback into design revisions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring close collaboration with colleagues, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project tasks.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Architecture and Architectural Design to contribute to concept development, planning, and detailed design.
Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Integration where relevant to architectural workflows, such as integrating design tools, automation scripts, or visualization technologies.
Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Lumion or similar) and basic knowledge of 3D visualization tools is beneficial.
A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution and eligibility to work in Chennai are required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow design and documentation standards are expected.
Effective communication skills, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback in a collaborative studio environment are important.
Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and construction practices in Chennai or the broader region is an advantage.
