JUNIOR ARCHITECT

About Arrete
Arrete Designers is an architecture and design practice working across large-scale
residential, high-rise, commercial, hospitality and mixed-use developments.
We are looking for a Junior Architect who wants to build strong professional
fundamentals and grow within a practice where design quality, technical rigour and real
project exposure matter.
This role is suited to an architect who has moved beyond purely academic work and has
begun experiencing how projects are actually designed, documented, coordinated and
executed.
What You Will Work On
You will support senior architects and project teams across different stages of
architectural projects, including:
 Design development and architectural planning
 Residential, high-rise, commercial and mixed-use projects
 Preparation of presentation drawings and design studies
 Detailed architectural drawings and working drawings
 3D modelling and architectural visualisation
 Site visits and documentation of site conditions
 Coordination with senior architects and consultants
 Incorporation of structural, MEP and other consultant inputs
 Preparation and revision of drawings based on reviews
 Supporting project documentation and drawing organisation
 Assisting with material studies and design development
 Understanding how design decisions translate into execution
What We Are Looking For
You should have:
 B.Arch or equivalent architectural qualification
 Approximately 1–2 years of professional experience
 Exposure to residential, commercial, high-rise or mixed-use projects
 Good understanding of architectural planning and design development
 Ability to prepare clear architectural drawings
 Exposure to site visits and construction processes
 Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
 Working knowledge of SketchUp and at least one visualisation/rendering platform
 Understanding of basic building bye-laws and architectural standards
 Ability to coordinate and work collaboratively with senior architects and
consultants
 Good communication and presentation skills
 Attention to detail and willingness to learn
A Strong Candidate Will Also Have
 Exposure to working drawings, sanction drawings or GFC documentation
 Experience coordinating with structural/MEP consultants
 Exposure to BIM workflows
 Experience with high-rise or large-scale residential projects
 Understanding of sustainability or green-building principles
 Site execution exposure
 A portfolio demonstrating both design thinking and technical ability
