Role Description This is an on-site internship role for a Cyber Security Engineer based in Faridabad. The intern will assist in monitoring security events, supporting threat hunting activities, and helping analyze logs from various security tools and platforms. Daily tasks include contributing to vulnerability assessments, reviewing application and network configurations for security gaps, and documenting findings and recommendations. The role also involves collaborating with senior engineers on incident response, updating security documentation and playbooks, and participating in continuous improvement of SOC processes.
Qualifications
A strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security concepts, including basic security frameworks and best practices.
Skills in Network Security, with familiarity in firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure network architectures.
Understanding of Application Security, including common vulnerabilities and secure coding principles.
Experience or coursework in Vulnerability Assessment, including basic knowledge of scanning tools and remediation processes.
Pursuing or having completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Ability to analyze technical information, pay attention to detail, and document findings clearly.
Interest in working in a SOC environment, with willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent) are an advantage but not required.
