Role Description The Senior Architect will lead the design and development of architectural projects from concept through completion, overseeing planning, detailed design, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. In this full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, the Senior Architect will prepare drawings and specifications, review design documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding junior team members, collaborating with consultants and contractors, managing project schedules, and monitoring quality throughout the design and construction phases. The Senior Architect will also participate in client meetings, present design solutions, and help maintain Planniique Architecture’s focus on contextually connected and user-driven environments.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and preparation of detailed drawings.
Experience in Project Management, with the ability to plan, organize, and oversee multiple projects, timelines, and resources.
Knowledge of Integration between architectural design and related disciplines (e.g., structural, MEP), ensuring cohesive project delivery.
Familiarity with Software Development concepts or digital tools that support design workflows, such as BIM, CAD, and visualization software.
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) and relevant licensure or registration, as applicable.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate effectively with clients and consultants.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with attention to detail and a user-centered design mindset.
Experience with local building codes, permitting processes, and construction practices in or similar to the Coimbatore region.
