Role summary
Own a consumer fintech mobile application across iOS and Android — architecture, both store releases, and integration with issuer/processor SDKs and APIs. This is a hands-on role covering everything from onboarding through card management and post-launch maintenance.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain the iOS and Android apps from a shared cross-platform codebase, dropping into native where required
Integrate issuer/processor native SDKs, including push provisioning to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
Implement KYC onboarding, camera/document capture, and liveness flows
Build card management: activation, PIN set/reset, freeze/unfreeze, limits, replacement, transaction history
Implement authentication: biometrics, device binding, secure token storage, session handling, and 3DS/OTP step-up flows
Own the full release cycle — builds, signing, provisioning, TestFlight and Play Console tracks, store submission and review responses, phased rollout
Handle push notifications, deep links, offline states, and background behaviour
Set up and act on crash reporting, analytics, and performance monitoring
Implement mobile security controls: certificate pinning, secure storage, root/jailbreak detection, code obfuscation
Support UAT, penetration-test remediation, and production defect fixes
Must-have skills
5–7 years mobile development, with at least one live app in both the App Store and Play Store you can point to
Strong React Native or Flutter experience
Genuine native capability in Swift/iOS and Kotlin/Android — able to write native modules, integrate a third-party native SDK, and debug platform-specific crashes
Hands-on App Store Connect and Google Play Console: certificates, provisioning, submission, versioning, phased rollout, handling rejections
REST API integration, OAuth 2.0 / token refresh, secure credential handling
Push notifications (APNs/FCM) and deep linking in production
Understanding of mobile app security and why sensitive data must not be cached or logged
Git, Agile delivery
Good to have
Prior fintech, banking, payments, or crypto wallet app experience
Push provisioning / tokenisation experience (Apple Pay, Google Pay, network tokenisation)
KYC/identity SDK integration
Mobile CI/CD (Fastlane, EAS, Codemagic, Bitrise)
Awareness of PCI-DSS as it applies to mobile
Experience with app store review for financial products (these get extra scrutiny — Apple Guideline 3.1.5 and similar)
