The Role
Level up your career with Veeva RTSM! Join our scaling team as a Technical Operations Support Engineer and help power our world-class IRT/RTSM platform. In this fast-paced hybrid role, you’ll sit at the intersection of Systems Administration, DevOps, and Tier 3 Technical Support, driving AWS migrations, optimizing operational workflows, and solving complex architecture challenges. What You’ll Do
Drive high-quality execution within the technical operations team, ensuring operational excellence and direct alignment with customer success
Partner on key architectural initiatives including migrating legacy Randomization and Trial Supply Management (RTSM) / Windows infrastructure to AWS
Iteratively define, document and refine operational workflows, incident management procedures, and support practices as the team scales
Perform in depth root cause analysis for complex system failures, proposing modern, scalable solutions to prevent recurrence
Proactively identify, track, and mitigate technical risks before they escalate into high-severity outages or customer issues
Serve as an escalation point for Tier 3 support issues involving Windows Server environments, SQL databases, and web services
Requirements
Four-year degree in IT-related field or equivalent experience in related field
5+ years of Windows Server, IIS and MSSQL experience
3+ years of help desk support experience
Experience with AWS
Demonstrated proficiency with scripting languages (Powershell, VBScript, etc)
Strong communication skills
Willingness to learn
Nice to Have
Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools
Experience with VMWare/vSphere
