Role Description The Fundraiser is a full-time, on-site role based in the Amritsar/Ludhiana area. This role is responsible for planning and executing fundraising campaigns, identifying and cultivating prospective donors, and maintaining strong relationships with existing supporters. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with individual and institutional donors, preparing proposals and presentations, organizing fundraising events and outreach activities, and coordinating with program and finance teams to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities. The Fundraiser will track fundraising performance, maintain accurate donor records, and provide regular reports and updates to leadership. The role also involves community engagement, networking with local organizations and businesses, and representing Hargun Foundation at events to raise awareness and support for its work.
Qualifications
Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or sales, with the ability to identify prospects and build long-term relationships.
Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation abilities, and active listening.
Organizational and project management skills to plan campaigns, manage events, and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Basic proficiency with office productivity tools and CRM or donor management systems, with an aptitude for learning new software.
Knowledge of nonprofit operations, community development, or social sector work is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in the Amritsar/Ludhiana area, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and engage with local communities.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a focus on social work, communications, business, or related fields is an advantage.
