Role Description The MEP BIM Modeler is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. In this position, the individual will develop, modify, and maintain coordinated MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) BIM models in alignment with project standards and client requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting construction drawings, modeling MEP systems in BIM software, checking for clashes and coordination issues, and updating models as designs evolve. The role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers, ensuring that all MEP elements are accurately represented and integrated with the overall building design. The MEP BIM Modeler will also assist in preparing model-based documentation, supporting design reviews, and maintaining organized project files.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, with the ability to create and manage detailed digital models.
Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration within building projects.
Experience working with architecture and construction drawings, including interpreting plans, sections, and details.
Practical experience as a modeler or BIM technician, focusing on coordinated MEP or multidisciplinary building models.
Familiarity with clash detection, model coordination, and construction documentation processes.
Relevant technical education in engineering, architecture, or building services (diploma or degree) is preferred.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a project-driven environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional project teams on-site.
Experience with industry-standard BIM software (e.g., Revit or similar) and basic understanding of CAD tools is beneficial.
